Ama or आमा, is the Nepali word for mother. Ama at The Atlas shares cuisine and experience that honors those who nurtured and fed us, reclaiming the skills and techniques passed down over generations. Plates are filled with underappreciated ingredients, gently transforming familiar flavors into uncommon bites.

Biplaw Rai & Nyacko Pearl Perry

Founded by Biplaw Rai and Nyacko Pearl Perry, Pearl & Law Hospitality Group creates deeply intentional dining experiences that honor the roots, stories, and daily life shaping their food, team, and spaces. Their restaurants are designed to bring people home to themselves and to one another. Together, Rai and Perry launched Comfort Kitchen, recognized as “Best New Restaurant” by Boston Magazine and The Boston Globe, named one of the top 50 in the country by The New York Times, and nominated for Best New Restaurant by the James Beard Foundation.

Biplaw Rai is a Nepali-born chef and restaurateur, who serves as a Restaurant Fellow for the Boston Ujima Project, a member-run organization focused on community investment in working-class communities of color. Nyacko Pearl Perry is a transformational change leader with a deep passion for group dynamics, who is currently an Adjunct Lecturer at Harvard Graduate School of Education.
